ILM Out and About

Indigenous Couples Getaway, Dryden

ILM staff members and volunteers have been extremely busy ministering at various locations over the past few months. Four of the highlights were the Loon Lake Every Story Matters . . . Including Yours conference; the Indigenous Couples' Retreat with FamilyLife Canada and Native Evangelical Fellowship of Canada; Christmas Gospel Concert in Mini Thni (Morley), Alb.; and participating in Missionfest Manitoba 2025, in Winnipeg.

Around 100 people atteneded the Loon Lake Every Story Matters . . . Including Yours conference, where participants got to share their stories and talk about the goodness of the Lord. After the blessings of the Every Story Matters . . . Including Yours conference of last year, ILM was invited to bring this event to Loon Lake. If you'd like for ILM to help you host one of these conferences in your area, contact director@intertriballife.org

In December, ILM participated in The Christmas Gospel Concert, which featured two nights of great music, powerful testimonies, and serving 250 meals each evening to attendees from Goodstoney, Bearspaw First Nation and Chiniki First Nation.

Eight couples participated in the Indigenous Couples' Retreat in February. Several participants recommitted themselves to their partners, others indicated a desire to help strengthen families in their community, and one person even took the first step of faith by inviting Christ into his heart. ILM served on the planning team for the event and taught a couple of sessions.

Thousands of people attended the annual Missionfest Manitoba 2025 conference in Winnipeg, which brought together churches, mission organizations, and believers for an inspiring weekend of worship, learning, and connection, with the theme, "How Shall They Hear?" Besides keynote sessions with live worship and speakers, there were also 19 breakout sessions. We were blessed to have one of the first booths people saw as they entered the area of over 130 exhibitors. "We had a high level of engagement from adults and youth in attendance, talking with hundreds of people about the outreach and ministry of ILM," says Krystal Wawrzyniak of the ILM Director team, who manned the booth along with Todd Wawrzyniak and ILM board member, Becky Kew. "Our hope is to go back next year to continue raising awareness that ILM is being used by the Lord, and to let people know how they can be involved."

Keep praying for our ILM staff as they tell others about the ministry, and most importantly, about Jesus. If you would like to partner with ILM for an event or if we can help you in your ministry, please contact director@intertriballife.org.
