As part of our commitment to restoring hope, healing and honor within Indigenous communities across North America, through a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, Indian Life Ministries has changed its name.
We are now operating as Intertribal Life Ministries.
ILM was founded as a ministry in 1979 after God planted visions in the hearts of several North Americans as to the need for a literature ministry and tools for the Indigenous tribes (see the full story at https://intertriballife.org/about-us/).
This potential change has been prayed over for many years now. To be as relational and intentional as we can, we felt it was time to move forward with the the new name. We at Intertribal Life Ministries do not want the name of the ministry to distract people from the powerful, gospel-focused content, available in all of our materials.
The mission of Intertribal Christian Communications is to glorify God in all aspects of its ministry. Knowing that Christ could return for His Church at any time, we, as an outreach organization, have as our mandate the responsibility to produce and/or distribute Christian media that:
1. will sensitively confront the unbeliever with the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Outreach);
2. is culturally relevant to the First Nations people in Canada and the United States (Contextualizing);
3. will speak to the current issues that challenge Indigenous peoples in the world today (Communicating);
4. will aid in equipping the Aboriginal church in areas of teaching and discipling by having resources available to them for these purposes (Equipping).
And our mission remains the same with the name change.

But don't fret. If you go to our old website address or email, you will be redirected to the new one. And if you write a check to Indian Life Ministries, the bank will still accept it.
